Description

Witch’s Brew Iced Coffee is a refreshing and aromatic cold brew coffee infused overnight with warm spices like cinnamon, cloves, star anise, and nutmeg, then blended with hazelnut creamer and vanilla for a creamy, flavorful iced coffee punch perfect for any time of year.

Ingredients

Scale

Cold Brew Base

  • 7 cups Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew Coffee
  • 4 cups cold water (divided)
  • 1 package (2 coffee packs) cold brew coffee

Spices

  • 5 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 6 whole star anise
  • 1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg

Additions

  • 1/2 cup hazelnut creamer
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Coffee and Water: In a large pitcher, add 4 cups of cold water and 1 package (2 coffee packs) of cold brew coffee. This mixture forms the base for the spiced cold brew infusion.
  2. Add Spices and Steep Overnight: Add 5 cinnamon sticks, 1 tablespoon whole cloves, 6 whole star anise, and 1 teaspoon fresh nutmeg to the cold brew mixture. Cover the pitcher and let it steep overnight to allow the spices to infuse into the coffee, enriching its flavor with warm, aromatic notes.
  3. Remove Coffee Packs and Strain Spices: The next morning, remove the cold brew coffee packs from the mixture. Then strain the coffee through a fine mesh strainer to remove all the whole spices, ensuring a smooth and clear beverage without any residue.
  4. Add Remaining Water: Pour the strained spiced cold brew back into the pitcher and add the remaining 3 cups of cold water. This dilutes the coffee to the desired strength and volume for serving.
  5. Add Creamer and Vanilla: Stir in 1/2 cup of hazelnut creamer and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract to add creamy texture and a subtle sweetness, perfectly complementing the spiced cold brew flavor.
  6. Serve: Pour the Witch’s Brew Iced Coffee over ice and enjoy this refreshing, spicy, and creamy iced coffee punch, perfect for a cooling caffeine boost any time of day.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of water added at the end to achieve your preferred coffee strength.
  • Steeping overnight is essential for full spice infusion; do not skip this step.
  • Use a fine mesh strainer to avoid any spice fragments in the final drink.
  • Hazelnut creamer can be substituted with any flavored or plain creamer of your choice.
  • Store leftover coffee in the refrigerator and consume within 2 days for best freshness.
