Description

A refreshing and vibrant Triple Berry Lemonade made with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries blended with freshly squeezed lemon juice and sweetened with sugar. This easy-to-make beverage is perfect for cooling down on warm days and serves 8 people.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

Sweetener

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

Liquids

  • 4 cups cold filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the berries: Rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries thoroughly and pat them dry. Slice larger strawberries into quarters to ensure even mixing and release of flavors.
  2. Juice the lemons: Squeeze fresh lemons to extract about 1 cup of lemon juice. Strain the juice to remove any seeds for a smooth lemonade.
  3. Dissolve sugar: In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with the granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to balance the tartness of the lemons.
  4. Mix the lemonade: Add the prepared berries and cold filtered water to the lemon juice and sugar mixture. Stir gently to combine all the flavors without crushing the berries too much.
  5. Taste and adjust: Sample the lemonade and adjust the sweetness or tartness as desired by adding more sugar or lemon juice accordingly.
  6. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least one hour to let the flavors meld. Serve over ice with optional garnishes such as extra berries or lemon slices for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar quantity based on your preferred sweetness level or substitute with honey or a sugar alternative.
  • For an adult twist, add a splash of vodka or gin.
  • Use sparkling water instead of cold filtered water for a fizzy version.
  • Make sure to chill the lemonade adequately for best flavor before serving.
  • Fresh berries can be replaced with frozen berries in a pinch; just thaw and drain excess water.
