Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles combine tender chicken breast and perfectly cooked noodles tossed in a deliciously sticky garlic soy sauce with a hint of honey and sesame oil. This quick and easy stir-fry recipe is packed with flavor, perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner for two.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Noodles

  • 200g chicken breast, sliced
  • 200g noodles

Sauce and Seasoning

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook Noodles: Prepare the noodles according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat Oil: In a pan over medium heat, warm the vegetable oil to prepare for cooking the chicken.
  3. Cook Chicken: Add the sliced chicken breast to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned on the outside and fully cooked through.
  4. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the chicken and sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Add Sauces: Stir in the soy sauce and honey, mixing thoroughly to coat the chicken evenly with the sticky sauce.
  6. Toss Noodles: Add the cooked noodles to the pan with the chicken and sauce, tossing everything together to combine and ensure the noodles are coated with the garlic soy mixture.
  7. Season: Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to blend the flavors.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions before serving hot.

Notes

  • Use any type of noodles you prefer, such as egg noodles or rice noodles, adjusting cooking times accordingly.
  • To make this dish spicier, add red pepper flakes or a dash of chili sauce during the sauce step.
  • If you want extra veggies, toss in sliced bell peppers or snap peas when cooking the chicken.
  • For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari or coconut aminos.
