Description

This Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke Dip is a creamy, cheesy appetizer perfect for gatherings. Made with spinach, artichoke hearts, and a blend of cheeses, it’s warm and flavorful, ideal for serving with chips, baguette slices, or fresh vegetables. Easy to prepare and keep warm throughout your party.

Ingredients

Scale

Spinach and Artichoke

  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 (14-ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

Dairy and Sauce

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Seasonings

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes or hot sauce for heat

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper into a small slow cooker (2–4 quart recommended).
  2. Mix and Cook: Stir all ingredients together as best as possible. Cover and cook on low for 2–3 hours or on high for 1–1.5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the cheeses melt and the dip is hot and creamy.
  3. Final Stir and Seasoning: Before serving, stir well to ensure an even mixture. Taste and adjust seasoning by adding red pepper flakes or hot sauce if desired for extra heat.
  4. Serve: Serve the dip warm with tortilla chips, sliced baguette, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • You can keep the dip warm on the slow cooker’s ‘warm’ setting for up to 2 hours during your event.
  • Ingredients can be prepped ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to cook.
