Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Reuben Sliders perfect for parties, game day, or a tasty main course. These mini sandwiches feature layers of tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, and flavorful Thousand Island dressing, all baked to golden perfection on buttery poppy seed-topped slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale

Slider Assembly

  • 1 package (12-count) slider buns
  • 1 pound thinly sliced corned beef
  • 1 cup sauerkraut (drained and squeezed dry)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

Butter Mixture

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds (optional)

Garnish

  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it is ready for baking the sliders evenly.
  2. Prepare the Slider Buns: Without separating the buns, slice the entire package horizontally in half. Place the bottom halves in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish to form the base.
  3. Assemble Layers: Spread the Thousand Island dressing evenly over the bottom halves of the buns. Next, layer with the thinly sliced corned beef, followed by the well-drained sauerkraut, and then place the Swiss cheese slices on top.
  4. Add Top Buns: Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese layer, covering the assembled ingredients.
  5. Make Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, Dijon mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, and optional poppy seeds. Mix well to create a flavorful topping.
  6. Brush the Tops: Generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the buns to add flavor and help them brown beautifully during baking.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and flavors to meld.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5 to 7 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  9. Garnish and Serve: Optional – sprinkle chopped parsley on top for color and freshness. Slice the sliders apart and serve warm for the best taste experience.

Notes

  • Ensure the sauerkraut is well drained and squeezed dry to prevent soggy sliders.
  • Russian dressing can be used as a flavorful substitute for Thousand Island dressing.
  • These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving to save preparation time.
