Description
Oreo Truffles are a decadent no-bake treat combining crushed Oreos and creamy softened cream cheese, dipped in rich semisweet chocolate and topped with white chocolate drizzle. These bite-sized desserts are perfect for parties, holidays, or any time you want a quick, indulgent sweet.
Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Base
- 1 package Oreos (any flavor; double stuffed or regular both work)
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
Chocolate Coating
- 12 oz. semisweet chocolate
- 6 oz. white melting chocolate for topping
Instructions
- Crush the Oreos: Place the entire package of Oreos into a large food processor and pulse until finely ground. Alternatively, place the cookies in a sealed plastic bag and crush them using a rolling pin until you achieve a fine crumb texture.
- Mix with cream cheese: In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with the softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly using a spatula or your hands until the mixture is fully incorporated and has a dough-like consistency.
- Shape and chill: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill the balls in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up before dipping.
- Melt the semisweet chocolate: Using a double boiler or microwave in short bursts stirring frequently, melt the semisweet chocolate until smooth and glossy.
- Dip the truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled Oreo ball into the melted chocolate, ensuring it is fully coated. Place the coated truffles back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Drizzle with white chocolate: Melt the white melting chocolate similarly until smooth, then drizzle it over the chocolate-coated truffles using a spoon or piping bag for decorative effect.
- Set and serve: Allow the truffles to set at room temperature or chill briefly in the refrigerator until the chocolate is firm. Serve and enjoy these rich, creamy treats!
