Ingredients
Scale
Biscuit Base
- 250g Tim Tam biscuits (or any chocolate-coated biscuits)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup golden syrup or honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1/4 cup desiccated coconut (optional, for added texture)
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, for added crunch)
Chocolate Topping
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Biscuit Base – In a large bowl, crush the Tim Tam biscuits into small pieces (not crumbs). You can use a food processor or place them in a zip-top bag and gently crush them with a rolling pin.
- Combine the Wet Ingredients – In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and sweetened condensed milk. Stir in the golden syrup or honey (if using) for added sweetness and richness.
- Mix Together – Pour the wet mixture over the crushed Tim Tam biscuits and stir until well combined. If using, add the desiccated coconut and chopped nuts to the mixture and mix well.
- Press into the Pan – Line a 9×9-inch (or similar-sized) square pan with parchment paper. Press the biscuit mixture firmly into the pan to form an even base. Place it in the fridge to set while you prepare the chocolate topping.
- Make the Chocolate Topping – In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the milk chocolate and dark chocolate chips together in 20-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth and fully melted.
- Assemble the Slice – Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit base, spreading it evenly with a spatula to cover the entire surface.
- Chill and Set – Refrigerate the slice for at least 2-3 hours, or until the chocolate is set and the slice is firm.
- Serve – Once chilled and set, cut the slice into squares or bars. Serve and enjoy the delicious Tim Tam flavor!
