Description

This No-Bake Passion Fruit Slice is a refreshing and easy-to-make dessert featuring a crunchy biscuit base topped with a creamy, tangy passion fruit filling. Perfect for warm days, this slice requires no baking and sets in the refrigerator to deliver a luscious tropical treat in just a few hours.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuit Base

  • 250g digestive biscuits (or any plain biscuits), crushed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Passion Fruit Filling

  • 1/4 cup fresh passion fruit pulp (from about 4-5 passion fruits)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream (or double cream)
  • 1/4 cup desiccated coconut (optional, for added texture)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Biscuit Base: In a large bowl, crush the digestive biscuits into small pieces (not crumbs). In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter with the sweetened condensed milk. Pour this over the crushed biscuits and stir until well coated.
  2. Press the Base into the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch (or similar-sized) square pan with parchment paper. Press the biscuit mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan to form a solid base. Refrigerate the base while you prepare the filling.
  3. Make the Passion Fruit Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar (if using) until smooth and creamy. Add the fresh passion fruit pulp and continue to beat until fully combined.
  4. Whip the Cream: In a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form, then gently fold it into the cream cheese and passion fruit mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Assemble the Slice: Pour the passion fruit mixture over the chilled biscuit base and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate the slice for at least 3 hours, or until the filling is set and firm.
  7. Serve: Once chilled and set, slice the passion fruit slice into squares and serve. Enjoy the tropical flavors and creamy texture!

Notes

  • For a more intense passion fruit flavor, increase the pulp quantity slightly or add a teaspoon of passion fruit juice concentrate.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature to avoid lumps in the filling.
  • Use parchment paper to easily lift the slice out of the pan for neat cutting.
  • The desiccated coconut is optional but adds a nice texture contrast when sprinkled on top or folded into the filling.
  • This slice is best eaten within 2 days for optimal freshness.
