Ingredients
Scale
Base Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
Flavorings and Mix-ins
- 1–2 jalapeños, chopped (seeds removed for mild heat)
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Optional Garnishes
- Chopped green onions
- Extra crumbled bacon
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the right temperature for baking the dip later.
- Prepare Ingredients: Chop the jalapeños to your desired heat preference, removing seeds if you want it mild. Cook the bacon slices until crisp, then crumble them into small pieces.
- Mix Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Fold in Mix-ins: Gently fold the chopped jalapeños, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and shredded Monterey Jack cheese into the creamy base mixture to evenly distribute all the flavors.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Grease a baking dish or cast-iron skillet lightly, then pour and spread the dip mixture evenly into it.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top has turned golden brown.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven, garnish with additional crumbled bacon or chopped green onions if desired, and serve warm with your choice of chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
- For less heat, remove seeds and membranes from jalapeños before chopping.
- Use thick-cut bacon for a meatier texture and stronger flavor.
- The dip can be prepared ahead and refrigerated; bake just before serving.
- Serve with a variety of dippers like tortilla chips, pita chips, or fresh veggies for a crowd-pleasing appetizer.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
