Instructions
- Prepare the Instant Pot: Line the Instant Pot with the trivet insert to keep the chicken elevated and pour in 1 cup of chicken stock to create steam and prevent burning.
- Season the Chicken: In a bowl, mix the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, brown sugar, kosher salt, and freshly cracked black pepper until evenly coated.
- Place Chicken in Instant Pot: Arrange the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer over the trivet inside the Instant Pot.
- Pressure Cook: Close the Instant Pot lid, secure the vent in the sealed position, and select high pressure. Cook for 10 minutes if using fresh chicken, or 15 minutes if cooking frozen chicken breasts.
- Release Pressure and Check: After cooking, allow natural pressure release or perform a quick release. Confirm that the internal temperature of the chicken has reached 165°F for safe consumption.
