Ingredients
Scale
Ingredients
- 1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury Grands! Flaky Layers Biscuits
- 8 sticks mozzarella cheese, each stick halved
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Biscuits: Separate the biscuit dough. If using Pillsbury Grands!, cut each biscuit in half horizontally. Gently stretch each biscuit round or half-round so that it is slightly larger than a halved mozzarella stick.
- Make Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic powder and dried Italian herbs, stirring until well combined.
- Form Cheese Bombs: Place one halved mozzarella stick in the center of each stretched biscuit piece. Carefully fold the biscuit edges up and around the cheese, pinching and sealing them tightly to form a ball-shaped pocket.
- Prepare for Baking: Arrange the Cheese Bombs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch or two of space between each. Generously brush the tops and sides of the bombs with the garlic herb butter mixture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed up, golden brown, and the cheese inside is melted and gooey. If they brown too quickly, tent loosely with foil to prevent burning.
- Serve: Remove from oven and let the Cheese Bombs cool on the baking sheet for 1-2 minutes. Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh mozzarella sticks that are halved for even melting.
- You can adjust the herbs and garlic powder according to your taste preference.
- Serve warm immediately to enjoy the gooey cheese filling at its best.
- Optional: Add cooked pepperoni or herbs inside the bombs for extra flavor.
- Store leftover Cheese Bombs in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
