Ingredients
Scale
Kielbasa
- 2 rings kielbasa, cut into 1” pieces
Mustard Glaze
- 2 tablespoons stone ground mustard
- 1 ½ tablespoons light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Creamy Mustard Sauce
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons whole grain Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon chives, finely chopped plus more for serving
Instructions
- Prepare Kielbasa: Cut the kielbasa into 1-inch pieces and score each piece once or twice in the middle without slicing all the way through. Place these pieces into a mixing bowl.
- Make Mustard Glaze and Toss: In a small bowl, combine stone ground mustard, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir the mixture well to fully combine. Toss the kielbasa pieces in this glaze ensuring each piece is coated evenly.
- Arrange for Air Frying: Place the glazed kielbasa pieces in a single layer inside the basket of your air fryer, making sure not to overcrowd for even cooking.
- Air Fry: Cook at 400°F for 9 to 11 minutes until browned and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even browning.
- Serve: Remove the cooked kielbasa from the air fryer and transfer to a large serving platter. If necessary, cook the rest of the pieces in batches and combine on the platter.
- Prepare Creamy Mustard Sauce: In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, whole grain Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and finely chopped chives until smooth and well combined.
- Garnish and Enjoy: Serve the air-fried kielbasa with the creamy mustard sauce on the side, sprinkled with additional chopped chives for garnish.
Notes
- Scoring the kielbasa pieces helps the glaze penetrate and keeps them from curling too much while cooking.
- Shake the air fryer basket halfway through to ensure the kielbasa cooks evenly and crisps on all sides.
- This recipe is best served hot immediately after cooking.
- You can adjust the sweetness of the glaze by varying the amount of brown sugar.
- If you do not have an air fryer, you can bake the kielbasa pieces in a preheated oven at 400°F for about 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through.
- Use fresh chives for the best flavor and presentation in the sauce and garnish.
