Description

These Cheesy Garlic Butter Rollups are a quick and delicious appetizer or snack made from crescent roll dough filled with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, then brushed with garlicky melted butter and baked to golden perfection. Perfectly gooey and flavorful, they’re easy to prepare and great for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough and Cheese

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Butter Mixture

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Garnish

  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well to infuse the butter with rich garlic flavor.
  3. Assemble the Rollups: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Sprinkle each triangle with 1 to 2 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella and a light sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  4. Roll the Dough: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, carefully roll them up towards the tip, fully enclosing the cheese inside. Place the rollups on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down to keep them closed during baking.
  5. Brush with Garlic Butter: Generously brush the tops and sides of each rollup with the prepared garlic butter mixture to add flavor and promote golden browning.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes or until the rollups are puffed up and turn a nice golden brown color.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and immediately brush again with any remaining garlic butter. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and extra Parmesan cheese before serving warm.

Notes

  • Use any type of melty cheese you like in place of mozzarella, such as cheddar or provolone.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter.
  • Serve with marinara or ranch dipping sauces for added flavor.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
