Ingredients
Scale
Beef Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend preferred)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
Slider Assembly
- 12 slider buns or dinner rolls
- 6 slices cheddar cheese, halved
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ½ cup finely chopped pickles
- ½ small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef while breaking it up with a spatula. Season it with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked through, about 7–8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Prepare Slider Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping all the bottoms together as one piece, and all the tops together as another piece. Place the bottom buns on a baking sheet.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, yellow mustard, and ketchup until well combined. Spread this sauce evenly over the bottom buns on the baking sheet.
- Assemble the Sliders: Evenly spoon the cooked ground beef over the sauce on the bottom buns. Sprinkle the chopped pickles and finely chopped red onion on top of the beef. Lay the halved slices of cheddar cheese evenly across the beef layer. Finally, place the top buns onto the sliders.
- Brush and Add Sesame Seeds: Brush the melted butter over the tops of the buns. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and texture.
- Bake the Sliders: Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese has melted and the buns are slightly toasted.
- Serve Warm: Remove the sliders from the oven and serve them warm for the best taste.
Notes
- Customize these sliders with your favorite toppings like crispy bacon, jalapeños, or your choice of different cheeses for added flavor.
- To save time, prepare the cooked beef mixture ahead of time and assemble the sliders just before baking.
